Abstract: Cross street is separated vertically into 2 different levels. All through movements are free flowing. All right turn movements are merge-controlled. Two signals manage only remaining conflict, between left turn movements.
Abstract: Bridge structure, but subjects all approaches to a signal (no "freeway" movements). Functions similar to Town Center Intersection (intersecting couplets), but does so vertically rather than laterally. Good choice when seeking to avoid freeway precedent, and both streets have similarly high volumes.
